Company Profile
Steloy Castings was founded in response to a need for a specialist foundry flexible enough to provide high levels of customer service but with the technical expertise to cater for specialist needs.
Building of the first 2 600m² facility commenced in 1984 in Ekandustria, Bronkhorstspruit 100 km northeast of Johannesburg, and the first pour took place in 1985. At the time Steloy Precision Castings, as it was then called, had 25 employees, 20 semi-skilled. Today we operate three foundry complexes – two in Ekandustria and one in Chamdor, Krugersdorp – with a combined floor space of 24 500m² and a workforce of 500.
Acquisition of the Chamdor foundry enabled us to expand our services to the petrochemical sector from static castings to the supply of fully fabricated coils assembled from static castings and spun cast tubes for reformer, ethylene cracking and direct reduction furnaces.
Located close to the source of raw materials and within easy reach of major industrial areas, we promise delivery of the finest cast products to customers throughout South Africa or anywhere in the world.
Steloy carries ISO 9001:2008 certification and European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) accreditation.
